This very obscure record came to my attention thanks to a fellow collector with excellent funk taste.
Luckily enough i found a copy the same week so here it is: 'Funky Nite' by Hi-Rise, an excellent song with fantastic
bassline, great brass section and solo Horns by Jim A. Foster. Hi-Rise were: Jeanne Foster (soprano), Rodney Butler (tenor),
Dionne V. Wilson (lead) and Earl Williams Jr. (lead). Maurice Starr contributed to the record and gets special credits on
the funny picture cover. Maurice Starr was quite a well-known musician who produced a lot for Streetwise Records.
