'Can I Come
Over And Play With You Tonight'.....An awesome roaring synthbass as in this
record you might never have heard before.
Released on the obscure Honey Records label in 1984,
this was one of Jeanie's funkiest solo recordings she has
done. She worked often as a background vocalist
for many artists including Skool Boyz, Jeffrey Osborne, Peabo Bryson and Herbie Hancock.
Despite her great
talent, she didn't have a breakout hit until her single "Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You," released in 1999
which reached the Top 20 dance charts. 'Can I Come Over And Play With You Tonight' was repressed in 2005
with matrix number 'RS 002' and features a 'Disconet Mix' on the B side. The original issue has matrix
'HON 711' engraved on both sides in the dead wax and features the song 'Hot' on the B side.
